BRIEF
Whilst on the Design for Adult Publishing course with the HarperCollins Design Academy, we were to redesign the book cover for Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie.
CONCEPT 1
Depicting the classic work of detective fiction, mysterious and highly atmospheric.
I used decorative elements to hint at the era, the train setting, and the connection between the various characters and their narratives.
CONCEPT 2
Hercule Poirot is back to solve another murder in this quick pacy crime/thriller. With obvious elements of the setting and themes I created a focal point with contrasting colours and illustration in this design.
EXECUTION
I used Procreate, Illustrator and Photoshop to conceptualise and refine the designs. Afterwards, I used InDesign to layout the elements.
